Experience

  • Responsible primarily for supporting and enhancing SAP RTR processes, providing functional expertise and guidance to business users
  • Engage with various stakeholders – portray a trusted-advisory role for SAP solutions and processes
  • Extensive functional and solution experience with the ability to facilitate, implement, and support SAP products to enhance business functionality and overall performance:
    • Design, configuration and testing of various SAP Modules: FI, CO, FSCM
    • Analyse the current business processes and scenarios and recommend/develop solutions to meet the business needs
    • Provide guidance which are aligned to industry best practices
    • Investigate, analyse, and solve software problems and map business requirements, processes and objectives; design necessary product modifications to satisfy business needs
    • Engage with high-level stakeholders in understanding business requirements, current solution landscape and propose new solutions and applications that provide enhanced value from customer perspective
    • Support the business with the conception and implementation of optimized processes
  • Support the implementation of SAP changes in the Finance organisation and ensure knowledge transfer to the user community:
    • Responsible for identifying and addressing training gaps on SAP
    • Close cooperation with the teams at group level regarding knowledge-sharing and business development for specific expert topics across Africa


Minimum educational level

  • Degree in information technology or relevant qualification
  • Good working knowledge of SAP FI/CO, FSCM
  • Exposure to and knowledge of key integration points between SAP sub modules like SD and MM


Duties and Responsibilities

  • HANA exposure
  • Experience in working with Oil & Gas client, preferably Oil Downstream is advantageous
  • Expert Knowledge in SAP FI, GL, AR, AP including Year End Closing steps and processes
  • Knowledge of SAP CO including Material Ledger and Product Costing
  • Knowledge of SAP Credit Management, Collections Management and Disputes Management


Required Technical skills

  • HANA exposure
  • Experience in working with Oil & Gas client, preferably Oil Downstream is advantageous
  • Expert Knowledge in SAP FI, GL, AR, AP including Year End Closing steps and processes
  • Knowledge of SAP CO including Material Ledger and Product Costing
  • Knowledge of SAP Credit Management, Collections Management and Disputes Management
  • Expert knowledge in Assets Accounting including IFRS reporting requirements
  • Experience in configuration and writing Functional Specifications
  • Know-how of project and consulting business practices
  • Experience of business processes and systems
  • Perform detailed analysis of complex business process requirements and provide appropriate system solutions; identify, interpret, validate and document customer requirements
  • Ability to analyse problems and provide clear recommendations
  • Strong organizational skills and able to collaborate with the business and have a strong desire to excel
  • Experience in working with global teams across geographies
  • Exposure to Enable Now or other SAP training tools is an advantage
