Overview

The Sales and Marketing Coordinator (SMC) supports Kemin Sub Sahara Africa’s strategic goals by coordinating key marketing projects, events, trade show and activities in close cooperation with the sales and marketing teams. The SMC acts as a liaison and brand custodian to creative agencies by driving strategic objectives and setting up measuring tactics to track and shepherd projects from conception to completion. The SMC forms critical support to the commercial team through administration of CRM systems, analysis of data relative to KPIs, compilation of reports providing relevant business intelligence and analysis.

The position will be reporting to the Commercial Director.

Responsibilities

  • Execute the digital transformation strategy, brand plans and website integration and compile reporting analytics with appropriate intervention strategies to increase customer user experience.
  • Full responsibility for advertising and promotional budget, including digital marketing.
  • With the marketing team, organize marketing, and communication efforts, and develop advertising and literature, ensuring maintenance of a consistent corporate image throughout all promotional materials, communications, and events.
  • Co-ordinate with external vendors for creative content and execute projects such as advertising and promotion activities, communications in, print, point-of-sale, online, electronic/interactive media, and direct mail.
  • Working collaboratively with team in planning and execution of major sales and marketing events and file key calendar global events.
  • Act as overall project coordinator, developing and maintaining timelines, media lists, and editorial activities within calendar to scheduling of campaigns and launches.
  • Research market and competitive information with sales, organize and maintain key databases and customer information.
  • Develop internal and external presentations analyzing marketing data, sales opportunities and propose strategic ideas for management meetings.
  • Responsible for monitoring marketing budget for tradeshows with projects and event, etc. Determine ROI on various department-related tactics.
  • Administration of CRM data base and integrate through training. Develop and design reports that support business growth and our strategic plan execution.
  • Support the commercial activities and assist with project management by acting as a liaison for the sales and marketing team by tracking projects.
  • Preparing weekly marketing and sales activity reports and prepare monthly project reviews for WW and KSSA – track and monitor key KPIs within sales and marketing.
  • Assisting in the creative development for layouts and designs of logos, advertising, marketing collateral and other published material in print and online (SharePoint). Drive Logo transformation.
  • Assist in the development of communications plans for corporate initiatives (KeminInsight), including writing content and the execution of employee communications, and external corporate website material, bulletins, sales/marketing materials and other collateral, presentations, tradeshow materials, articles and trade publications, news releases/announcements, and/or blogs.
  • Develop and implement various forms of interactive media, including but not limited to website enhancements & implementation, program development and execution, Internet Ratings & Reviews, social networking/online communities, search engine marketing.
  • File and administer distribution contracts.

Qualifications

  • BSc or MSc in Animal Health.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or equivalent by experience (an additional qualification in agriculture or such industry experience would be an advantage).
  • 3-5 years relevant experience. Previous corporate or agency experience in marketing/advertising, communications will be an advantage.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to set priorities and handle multiple projects efficiently in order to meet deadlines.
